Fragrance-Free vs Unscented – What’s the Difference?

At Candle & Soak, we specialise in fragrance-free products—but what does that really mean?
Fragrance-free means we don’t add any perfumes, essential oils, or masking agents to our formulas. However, you may still notice a mild natural scent—this comes from the raw ingredients themselves, like shea butter or coconut oil.

On the other hand, unscented usually means a product has been formulated to have no scent at all. This is often achieved by using deodorising processes or adding masking agents to neutralise any natural aroma.

We believe in keeping it simple, gentle, and honest—so when we say fragrance-free, we mean no added fragrance, ever.
